American football and rugby are both physically demanding sports... I've played both... The styles of play are much different though... Rugby is about pure tackling and ball movement as opposed to football which is about impact in addition to tackling skill and quick linear movement down field. The speed and impact in American football is the reason for the pads (without them, the amount of spinal cord and brain injuries would be horriffic)... With regard to the breaks between plays in football, there's a purpose other than giving the big guys on the lines a break (and by big, I mean 300+ pounds...).

American football is a game of set plays and tends to get very complex with all the terminology and the amount of plays you have to memorize (most coaches script anywhere from 150 to 250 possible plays per game). Granted, rugby is more fast paced and the plays are more oriented to the flow of the game which makes it pretty exciting to watch and challenging to play. As far as I'm concerned, they're both great sports with their own challenges.

An awsome movie. It has all the stuff from action, comedy, Sentiment etc. But even with all these it cannot be called as a commercial entertainer. For this the credit goes to the director. And not to forget Karan who has not establishrd himself in the industry has done an excellent work.

The core of the story mainly depends on the actress meenakshi whose mother dies and how she feels that she has been left alone till she bumps into karan, wherer she notices all that he does resembles her mother and she falls in love. With all the usual stuff in the film. It is still worth watching it.

American football is a highly intense game much like rugby but with pads. It requires an immense amount of stamina and memorization for the plays. Although many people think its a "soft" version of rugby ill tell you what. . . i'd rather get hit by a guy without pads then a guy with pads 'nuff said.

An upper middle class, leafy suburb located about 30 miles east of Seattle. Three excellent high schools (Eastlake, Skyline, and Eastside Catholic) are crammed into one small area, so the town is pretty much mondo kidville. Few roads lead up the big hill, so it feels unusually safe there. The houses are a little too matchy-matchy, but by Seattle standards the whole place looks really neat and pretty.

It wasn't until I tuned and tweaked my Car to run a half-mile drag in 11 seconds that I fell in love with Need for Speed Pro Street. To put that in perspective, that's eight football fields in 11 seconds. At that speed, well over 250 mph, your hair is known to catch fire.

It takes great driving and cat-like reflexes to clock such a time. But this race was won before it ever started, in the garage. After tuning everything from gear ratios to suspension stiffness to nitrous timing to even the shape of the front bumper, the top speed of my Car shot through the roof. Precious seconds fell off my drag times and I came away feeling not only like a master driver, but also as a master mechanic.

You don't simply unlock new cars to drive. You make them your own, an extension of yourself with four wheels and tank full of nitrous. This is all made possible because EA scrapped the old, arcade formula for which NFS was known and opted to create the first ever street racing simulation. Now that the cops have cracked down on illegal midnight races for pink slips, street racers have taken their cars to closed tracks like Infinion Speedway, Tokyo's Shunto Expressway and parts of the Autobahn. Instead of looking in your rearview for police lights, you can look forward to a world of sponsorships and the all important race day.

The game play in Pro Street is designed around the race day, where racers bring their cars to a closed location to compete in four different events: grip, drag, drift and speed challenge. Grip is your traditional race mode; drag tests your reflexes in quarter and half mile strips; drift is about mastering control of your car through tough turns; speed challenge forces you to redline it through 20 km of track. Fans of Burnout will be pleased. Each of the events has a distinct feel to it, and you'll enjoy improving throughout your career.

The day of the race is designed to bring a spectacle. Teams bring cars specially tuned for each of the four events -- and even a backup car in case you total one of your starters -- and show them off to scantily clad race groupies. A DJ calls the action from the booth while techno music bumps over the speakers. This realistic representation of street racing is a radical departure from the canyon-jumping, police-evading days of Need for Speed's past, and that's a good thing. The end result is one of the best-rounded racers that EA has ever created and arguably the best game in the entire franchise.

Sure that's a bold statement, but this time around EA manages to make you emotionally invested in your stable of high-performance rides, something very few racers or sports titles in general have ever managed to do. Consider that you buy a car, a car you've had your eye on for several races. Once in your garage, you paint it, add decals and graphics. Then you pop the hood and add new engines, nitrous systems, drive trains, superchargers, brakes, tires, wheels and body kits. You tweak each of the parts to your liking to maximize performance. You could spend hours just painting your car. Finally, you begin to dust the competition.

That level of customization is not uncommon in other racing titles. The true emotion comes when you hit a bump at 250 mph in your custom car and watch as your state-of-the-art speed machine shatters to pieces, a bumper here, a fender there, aftermarket parts everywhere. The big crashes are truly spectacular to behold, although your career will be better served if you avoid them. That's because crashes now have consequences. If you total your car, you'll have to pay to get if fixed. Even minor collisions will crumple your car's body, thanks to an excellent new damage system.

In the lengthy career mode you play as Ryan Cooper, an up-and-coming street racer that owns a piece of crap Nissan. It's ironic that Pro Street has such a high level of customization but you can't even change the name of your driver during career mode. Presumably that is because the DJs compliment you during events ad nauseam, saying things like, "That's my boy Ryan Cooper, you got to watch out for that guy.

The pacing in the career mode is excellent, if somewhat puzzling. Initially most of the game's 55 cars are locked, even if you have enough funds to make the purchase. In what is either a stroke of genius or an evil attempt to empty your wallet, EA made it possible to purchase cars and high-end parts using Microsoft points?

The goal of the career is take down the "kings" of each of the four events and win their cars in the process. Finally you take on the overall showdown king that excels in each discipline, Ryo Watanabe. He'll also make appearances after some of your big wins, talking trash in an attempt to add some energy to this rivalry. While you will grow to care about some of your best cars, this rivalry feels forced and artificial and the career mode lacks personality.

EA also went the extra mile with its online offerings for Pro Street. Along with the standard ranked and unranked races, you can design your own custom race day with a variety of events from any of the tracks around the world. You can share the events with your friends and compete for a high score.

Visually, Pro Street is a treat, with almost photo-realistic cars, dynamic damage and excellent smoke effects. It blazes along at 60 frames per second, although the environments are not terribly spectacular. They are real-world tracks, but they lack that certain visual flair that the rest of the game has.

While Project Gotham Racing and Forza Motorsport improved upon their winning formulas in their respective sequels this year, EA completely overhauled the Need for Speed franchise to create what is arguably the best game in the series. Not only that, this well-rounded and addicting gem will be a certain nominee for racing game of the year.

Hero Honda Hunk : The new bike from Hero Honda

Hero Honda recently launched their not much awaited bike Hero Honda Hunk.

There are talks about it and specially its name, Hero Honda could have used some better name. Well, Hunk is still, if you look into dictionary then it is a very manly word.

It has almost similar power and torque to CBZ extreme, ie. 14.2bhp at 8500 rpm and 12.8 nm at 6500 rpm. Then engine displacement is 149.2 cc . And the engine is set to have tumble flow ( I can't comment over it as do not have enough information about it).

The thing you will note that it has gas charged, adjustable rear shock absorber, it is I think first in Hero Honda Bike. One thing I loved about CBZ from beginning was its saddle position, it just made you sit so sporty that you feel like GOD on road. .. here in Hero Honda Hunk, saddle position is nice so it feels so sporty while sitting on Bike.

Front Disc brake is fine, I wished if they could have increased its size as TVS did in Apache RTR 160, it looks so nice and somehow makes feel bike more powerful.

The bike has over all a big look as we had with CBZ xtreme. This time grab rail is single piece and not like CBZ xtreme which as splitted one looked really cool. One thing I noticed here that they wanted to bike to look shorter and sporty and hence you can see on back that they have kept seat little shorter though ideally should stretch a bit more, anyhow it is looking unique.

What I think that there was something missing in CBZ xtreme and Hero Honda thinks that to compete with Apache RTR and new pulsar, they should work around and hence we have "Hunk".

Another nice thing about design is its fairing covering the tank, it really makes it feel big, sit over and it is really big. Headlamp is good but again could have better in design. I don't know why Hero Honda people can't create an appealing front look but its satisfactory this time.

Looking at the meter console, we have no digital instruments there, looks like Hero Honda wants to make it traditional style manly stuff, only raw power. After all, you can't feel the adrenaline in those digital meter as you feel when the niddle spindle over the meter .. wraoommmm..
Fuel consumption is said to same as CBZ but with little improvement. And bike comes in two version, a kick start costing Rs. 55000 ex showroom Delhi and Rs. 57000 for Electric start ex-showroom Delhi.

The 1420's baseline price is a reasonable $819 and offers a host of upgrade options--everything from Blu-ray drives to Intel's latest Centrino Duo processors--that make the Inspiron line one of the most flexible systems out there. You can configure a well-equipped system for much closer to the baseline price, however, that would prove more than adequate for most mainstream users.

The new is an evolution rather than a revolution, offering softer, rounded edges and a thinner lid while scrapping the two-tone, white-on-silver design that never looked particularly inspiring. Instead, you get your choice of eight different colors for the back of the lid. Our Ruby Red model, which looked an awful lot like the Crimson Red, had an appealing satin finish that seemed to be virtually fingerprint-proof. If you fear colorful laptops, black and white are also options for the lid.

The keyboard remains unchanged and is comfy to type on, but we were pleased to see the old Inspiron's excessively chunky mouse buttons reduced to a more manageable size, along with small square media control buttons replacing the older round ones, which were notoriously hard to hit. A 2.0-megapixel Webcam sits above the screen or you could forgo it and save $30. And a small, credit-card-size remote control that pops into card slot on the side.

The 14.1-inch wide-screen display offers a 1,440x900 which is a $50 upgrade Dell offers over the standard 1,280x800 screen (standard on both 14- and 15-inch laptops). For a screen this size, the difference is honestly negligible, but people working with digital photos, for example, may want the slightly higher resolution. Neither screen would be able to play back Blu-ray movies in full 1080p resolution.

We suggest choosing one of the three Core 2 Duo 7000-series chips that feature Centrino Duo's faster 800MHz front side bus. Trading the integrated graphics up to an Nvidia GeForce 8400 is likewise $100. Add in options such as Bluetooth ($20) and a second GB of RAM ($150), and the $819 starting price can easily climb.

The only discrete graphics option available, the 128MB Nvidia GeForce 8400, isn't going to turn this laptop into a gaming powerhouse, but we got a very playable 29.8 frames per second in Quake 4 at 1,024x768, even with high-end options such as anti-aliasing turned on.

The 1420 ran for 3 hours and 29 minutes on our DVD battery-drain test, using the included nine-cell battery (a $50 upgrade), making it the longest-lasting 14-inch laptop we've seen. A smaller six-cell battery is also available if you absolutely hate batteries that stick out from the back of the system.

Dell includes an industry-standard one-year parts-and-labor warranty with the system. Upgrading to a three-year plan will cost an extra $250, which includes on-site service. Support is accessible through a 24-7 toll-free phone line, an online knowledge base, and driver downloads; Dell also included 3GB of online backup space free for the first year.

Panasonic DMC-L10

Panasonic has introduced the 10-megapixel Lumix DMC-L10. Panasonic is marketing the L10 as an entry-level SLR, and its design works well for that market. It's on the small side, has an articulated LCD that can flip out to the left of the camera and swivel 270 degrees, live-view shooting, and its control buttons are laid out a lot like a super zoom or compact camera. The vast majority of buttons are on the right-hand side of the camera and reachable quickly and easily by thumb or forefinger. Like more and more SLRs lately, the grip is short, so your pinky dangles while shooting. However, it does have a nice shape, with a cutaway for your middle finger and a contoured area on the top of the camera back for your thumb that combine to provide a solid feel in your hand.

In addition to that the L10 has two control wheels, making full manual shooting extra comfortable since you can use the front wheel to set aperture and the back wheel to set the shutter speed. Cameras with one wheel typically force you to press and hold a button to set the aperture or shutter speed in full manual mode. Strangely, the L10 has no marked exposure compensation control, but in shooting modes other than full manual, the rear wheel adjusts exposure compensation.

For the uninitiated, live-view shooting means that the image you're about to capture can be framed on the camera's LCD screen, as you do with compact cameras. Since SLRs use a mirror to let you see through the lens, that means that the mirror has to be able to flip up and out of the way and the camera's sensor has to be able to continuously send an image to the LCD while you're framing. That's why the L10 uses a variation on a CMOS sensor called a LiveMOS sensor, which also has a live-view shooting mode.

One out of the nice feature of the DMC-L10 is its automatic zoom in review mode. When the camera shows you the image you just shot, the L10 can be set to automatically zoom in 4x so you can better check for focus. The bad part about the auto-zoom-review is that it zooms in on the center of the image, which often might not be the best part of the image to use to confirm focus. The zoom feature in the normal playback mode lets you zoom up to 16x and move around the image to zoom in on whatever section of the image you want, so you can always check later instead as you would with any other SLR.

Though the L10, is a Four Thirds format camera, which makes it compatible with all of Olympus' Four Thirds lenses, as well as those of third-party lens makers such as Sigma and Tamron, Panasonic decided to sell it only as a kit. The included lens has better build quality than a lot of kit lenses, but I would've liked the choice of buying body only. Also, since the lens is expected to cost about $700 on its own, then the body-only version would conceivably be a lot less expensive, making the camera more competitive with other entry-level SLRs.

In the end, Panasonic's Lumix DMC-L10 is a lot like Olympus' Evolt E-510. Both use Live MOS sensors, and thus have live-view modes, and both showed similar performance and image quality. I'd give Panasonic an edge for the body design and for including an articulated LCD, though Olympus gets a big edge in price since you can get an E-510 dual-lens kit for hundreds less than the L10's single-lens kit. Panasonic might argue that its lens is nicer and includes optical image stabilization, but Olympus can easily counter that the E-510 includes sensor-shift stabilization. If price weren't an issue, I'd choose the Panasonic.

God Of War - Feel Like the God !!

He desired strength; he desired power and his bloodlust led him to the ultimate ruin. Greek tragedy is rife with tales of gifts from the gods corrupted by the desires of man for more, or gifts that were corrupted by the gods for their own amusement.

Caught in this purgatory of desire and power granted for devious entertainment purposes is a Spartan known as Kratos. Once a commanding officer of great power, he thirsted for more, and Ares made him a deal – but Kratos foolishly followed the path offered him, and even as God of War begins, Kratos is standing at the edge of a precipice, driven there by the pursuing madness. He steps from the ledge of the high peak and plummets toward the rocks and water far below the clouds.

But what led him to that place? God of War skips back three weeks earlier, when Kratos was on a ship on a storm-tossed sea, besieged by harpies, undead and hydra.

God of War is a PlayStation 2-exclusive title from SCEA that is a combat- and action-heavy vehicle that takes gamers back into the mythology of ancient Greece, effectively combining the pervasive and intrusive – at their convenience – pleasure of the gods against a violent background. It should be noted that this game has extreme violence, as well as some sexual overtures, which includes scenes of nudity.

The combat of this title is rather amazing, and the game does feature a fixed camera position that can be slightly annoying in certain situations, as when Kratos is trying to walk across diagonal beams, and the camera is not behind him, forcing players to guess at the directions to make the journey without falling. (Not to worry, though, for Kratos has quick reflexes and is capable of grapping the rails should he fall, and with a quick button push, pull himself back up.) The right thumbstick controls evasion moves that display the incredible animation of the title.

To thoroughly understand the depth of the game, one needs to begin with the story. The plotline of God of War reveals a character that hungered for power, achieved it, teeters on the edge of madness because of it, and yet, seemingly, has little remorse. That the gods favor him is taken in stride. That they imbue him with great power is a recourse he accepts casually. Each god-power is one step closer to reaching his objective, which is to kill Ares. The reasons are told in cutscenes as you progress through the game. You will be several hours into it before these unfold in, and by that time, it is akin to offering water to the thirsty man in the desert. The story is so well done; you lap up each droplet of back-story and thirst for more.

Kratos is a killing machine. His principle weapons are axe-like chain weapons. The blades extend at the end of chains, and he can create a weaving dance of death with this extended reach. He also has the ability to grapple, a skill particularly useful when enemies come at him while he is climbing walls. There is some satisfaction to grabbing an enemy while hanging from vines on a rock face, smash it repeatedly against the stone, and then tossing the limp rag doll down from the heights. Or you can go hand-over-hand across a chasm on a rope line, using your chain weapons to slice and cut enemies who would engage you in half as they approach.

Each of Kratos’ skills can be improved upon as he progresses through the game. Kills will release elements from newly deceased, which in turn fill an experience-type bar with points, which can be used to level up skills. Also, at points in a fight, Kratos will be able to unleash a series of combination moves, which are dictated by matching on-screen hot-key prompts. Some button mashing also will help you produce finishing moves.

The game does have a fair amount of the “Wow!” factor working in regards to the graphical elements. The first time you see Ares standing and hurling fire bolts down on Athens is truly impressive.

Overall, the graphics of God of War show the PS2 at its finest. The textures are incredible, the animation amazing and each setting, whether in the ships on the storm-tossed oceans, or in the ravaged city of Athens, or out in the desert leading to Pandora’s box, is superbly crafted. God of War is, visually, the game that resets the graphical standards, but while the images are impressive, one cannot fail but recognize the nuances of each setting; how the lighting and shadows convey moods and carry forth the game’s theme. The violence is not watered down, nor are the moments of ruthlessness that mark what Kratos has become.

A guard, shaking with fear, will not extend a bridge because of the prospect of terror looming should he release the lever. Kratos needs to get across. He cares nothing for the guard, and when he acquires the power to use a ranged attack, one of the first to fall is that terrified man. He worried about the monsters running throughout the town, when he should have been afraid of Kratos.

The game’s soundtrack is magnificent with a terrific musical score and great voiceovers.

If there are any drawbacks to this title, they lay in that the game is only 12 hours – or a little more – in length, the fixed camera angle can create some nuisances, and the puzzles are not overly complex. But these are merely incidental to the grandeur represented by this title.

God of War is a phenomenal bit of storytelling, impressive and a truly incredible videogame in terms of graphics, sound and gameplay.

Adobe Premier: Awsome For Editing

Premiere was once the obvious choice for amateur and semi-professional video editing on the PC, but more affordable, equally powerful competition from Avid Liquid and Sony Vegas has shaken things up. Premiere Pro 2 is a significant overhaul, with new features affecting almost every aspect of the software.

The interface is much neater than before, with docked panels replacing the floating windows of previous versions. New effects include a colour corrector that goes beyond any others we've seen, although its precision is matched by its complexity. The Lighting Effects filter provides up to five spotlights with which to illuminate clips and combines fine control with high-quality results. This effect benefits from the new 32-bit internal colour processing, which helps maintain detail in highlights and shadows.

The new features will be familiar to Avid Liquid users. Bezier curves are available for all effects automation rather than just motion paths, providing precise control of the speed and path between key frames for fluid object motion. The elegant handling of up to four synchronised streams for multi-camera editing; once set up, cutting between them in real time is achieved with keyboard short cuts. However, the setup process is cryptic.

DVD authoring comprises more than just burning a menu-less DVD from the timeline, but not much more. Macromedia Flash Video is added to the export options, while the Media Encoder window now includes cropping and Scale To Fit options. There's still no MPEG4 support.

1.5 used the Cineform codec for smooth handling of HDV footage, but for version 2 Adobe has reverted to providing direct support for HDV's native format, MPEG2 TS. This is surprising, as it isn't easy for software to manipulate this heavily compressed format. However, Adobe appears to have cracked it, with reasonable preview performance. The DV preview engine has been overhauled, too. It managed four DV streams with fewer sporadic stutters than version 1.5 suffered on our Athlon 64 3000+ PC. Uncompressed HD and SD are supported, as are uncompressed digital video transfers via SDI using the AJA Xena HS interface.

COMBINED EFFORTS

Premiere Pro now works better alongside other Adobe applications. Assets can be transferred between Premiere, Photoshop, Audition and After Effects from the right-click menu, with dynamic linking to keep any changes reflected in all programs. Clip Notes is a new feature that embeds video into a PDF, whereupon clients can add comments that appear back in Premiere Pro at the relevant position on the timeline.

Despite all these improvements, I am unconvinced that Premiere Pro is worth twice as much as Avid Liquid or Sony Vegas. It's arguably the best of the three; Liquid's interface is lumpy in places, while Vegas's motion control and effect automation is underpowered. Premiere Pro's greatest strength is simply that it doesn't have any notable weaknesses. However, Liquid is leagues ahead in terms of preview performance, while Vegas is the easiest to use and has the most comprehensive DVD-authoring capabilities.

As usual, you're better off buying Premiere as part of a bundle. Adobe Production Studio adds Photoshop CS2 and After Effects 7 Standard for around £1,080 including VAT. Production Studio Premium costs around £1,540 and includes Photoshop, After Effects Professional, Audition 2, Encore DVD 2 and Illustrator CS2. Either of these bundles is a sound investment for professional users, particularly considering the tight integration of the applications.

Adobe Photoshop CS 3 - Part 2

As well as creating panoramas, it's also an excellent solution for combining, say, multiple group portraits, so that if someone has their eyes closed in one, it's easy to paint a mask to show them open in a layer beneath. This is complemented by Auto Blend Layers, which applies a layer mask to blend layers together smoothly. Photoshop now introduces Smart Filters, which work in a similar way to Smart Objects: groups of layers can have non-destructive filters applied to them and, like Adjustment Layers, the settings can be tweaked at any time and can have masks applied.

A new black and white adjustment eases the creation of mono images from color, with six sliders controlling the red, yellow, green, cyan, blue and magenta components. It's far more intuitive than the Channel Mixer and has the capability to add a tint to the final image.

The Curves dialog is now larger and shows the curve for each channel while working on any other channel, and now includes much of the functionality of the Levels adjustment. Adobe has also updated the old standby Brightness & Contrast to avoid the highlight and shadow clipping that was a factor of the old version. The Vanishing Point filter, which caused such a stir in CS 2, has been updated: placed images can now wrap around multiple surfaces, and there's now an angle control to allow planes at angles other than 90 to be created.

The interchange application, Bridge, has had a major overhaul, providing increased functionality, including much faster searches and the ability to preview multiple documents, and a loupe feature that provides a 1:1 view of a small area. A wholly new application is Adobe Device Central, which is designed to ease the creation of artwork for mobile phones. It shows dimensions, color and pixel depth and even a full-sized preview of most of the phones that are currently available, and should prove very useful to developers on those platforms. As expected, the web and animation component, ImageReady, has disappeared, its functionality being integrated directly into the main application.

Among other enhancements are an improved Print dialog with a color-managed preview, better PDF creation and presentation modes, as well as a new version of Camera Raw that uses image adjustment controls similar to those found in Light room.

As has so often been the case, Adobe has given us features we need, rather than features we may have asked for. Although perhaps a little short on drop-dead features, CS 3 zips along on Intel Macs, and there's certainly enough here to make it a worthy upgrade.

Sony Unveils New GT Series In-Car CD Player With USB Socket

Sony has released a new in-car CD tuner and changer, the CDX-GT610U/CDX-GT616U, which is a step-up model from the CDX-GT410U/CDX-GT414U.

Both models are able to play music tracks in MP3, WMA, or AAC formats connected to it via a handy front-panel USB socket. Back seat janta have their say too, thanks to the remote control.

The GT series boasts a flip-down panel, and this particular model has a new, larger display. It plays both MP3 CDs as well as regular audio CDs.

Digital audio reproduction goes through a 24-bit D/A conversion, while power is provided by 4 X 50W S-MOSFET output stages, whatever that may be.

Frequency response extends from 10-20,000Hz, and it boasts a signal to noise performance of better than 120dB for clean reproduction of CD and other digital sources.

With BBE-MP sound processing being an inbuilt feature , It might just be Sony's best GT Series head unit in recent times. With BBE-MP technology it enables people to restore high-frequency harmonics that get ravaged by MP3 audio files.

This bad-boy is available from Jan 08 onwards !!

Adobe Photoshop CS3 -The Print God is here! Part 1

Adobe has never released a public beta of Photoshop, and the fact that it has been released this early in the product cycle is testament to the pressure brought specifically by Mac users frustrated at not yet having a native version of Photoshop to run on Intel Macs. For those not used to working with beta software, a word of warning: this product is not yet fully stable, so use it with caution.

The first thing to notice is the revised, cleaned-up interface, which is far more respectful of screen space. The toolbar is now optionally a single column, rather than two. Palettes that formerly sat in the Palette Well now cling to the side of the screen, popping open and closed as required. When closed, they form buttons that can show the name of the palette or just the icon, in as many columns as the user requires. It's slicker, easier to use and less obtrusive all round.

The Quick Selection tool, first tentatively introduced in Elements, makes a fully fledged appearance here. Dragging over an image will intelligently separate an object or person from its background: repeated drags will add foreground elements, while holding down Alt as you drag removes unwanted parts of the background. It's surprisingly effective and is the nearest thing yet to an automatic cutout tool.

This is complemented by a Refine Edges dialog, which shows the current selection in a variety of ways: against black or white backgrounds, as a QuickMask selection or as an alpha channel. Here, you'll find sliders to fine-tune the selection - you can contrast, feather, smooth and contract the selection with ease. Refine Edges can be used with any selection tools, but it makes for an especially powerful and useful partnership in combination with the Quick Selection tool.

The Clone tool has undergone a massive reworking. There's now the option of showing the clone source as an overlay, so it's easy to see exactly what will be cloned and where. In addition, you can now scale and rotate the clone source before cloning - an excellent way to patch in perspective, for example. Furthermore, you can specify up to five clone sources and return to them at will.

The new Auto Align feature will, as its name suggests, automatically overlay similar photographs so that the features in them line up. Unlike Photomerge automation, Auto Align is very fast and works directly within the main interface.
